Farstrup was founded in 1910 as a sawmill. For more than 80 years the company has manufactured furniture, since 1960 on a significant industrial scale. Farstrup develops, manufactures and markets a range of furniture aimed at private and commercial users. The furniture is characterised by its simple, timeless design and its high utility value which satisfies a wide range of furnishing needs. Common features include form and function, flexibility and the attention paid to ergonomics.
Product and design philosophy Farstrup’s vision is to create beautiful, innovative furniture that provides maximum seating comfort. Our products are designed to satisfy the growing demand for functional and innovative products characterised by a high functional value and exceptional workmanship. We do so in close cooperation with furniture designers and by means of an intensive dialogue with our customers. The preferred wood is beech, both solid and laminated.
The range Our collection has been split into three different market segments in order to ensure that Farstrup maintains its status as a professional provider of seating comfort and to ensure that our expertise continues to benefit our customers.
Farstrup Comfort - The healthy way of sitting ® A domestic range of light, elegant easy chairs designed with the belief that no two people are alike in mind. The range includes a large number of different models that can be adapted in line with the user's individual need for ergonomic seating comfort. This range is primarily aimed at the 40+ age group. The products are sold under the Farstrup Comfort brand in shop-in-shop outlets.
Farstrup Home Care - Quality of life through independence ® The range centres around a series of light easy chairs with help functions and accessories designed to make life easier for both users and their carers.
Farstrup Contract - Where people meet ® A range of light, functional seating systems with accompanying tables designed for the professional market. The furniture has been designed for institutions, care homes, hospitals, restaurants and conference centres as well as the private industry, all characterised by a large number of users. Farstrup Contract will meet all your furnishing needs in large spaces and small rooms, in harmony with a wide variety of different building styles and company types.
